The products below can all be purchased from woodcraft. I know I will get several email telling me this can be done cheaper. Your right it can. You can use a box fan with a filter for a poor mans air cleaner. You can eliminate the remote and so on. All those are fine with me. Just do your best to keep the dust out of your lungs. The pieces below cost me a little over $200. That's a lot of money but I feel it was well spent. Each piece is well built and does it's job fine.
The ShopVac Air Cleaner sells for $119.99 from Woodcraft. The cleaner weighs only 15 pounds which makes it portable. It moves 235 cfm of air and filters out dust down to 5 microns. It will filter a 290 square foot room every 10 minutes. The replacement filter kit is also available from Woodcraft for $22.99.
This 2-1/2" flexible hose and funnel kit is available from Woodcraft for $19.99. It's handy in several locations around the shop and I'll show you how I used it as part of my scroll saw dust collection in the video.
I have two of these 110v remote switches. I have one on my shop vac and the other on my dust collector. They are not cheap but honestly I would not be without them. The remote for the shop vac is attached to my apron and I have a 20 foot extension hose attached to my shop vac. I can carry the hose anywhere in the shop and simply turn it on and of with the remote. In the video I show how I use the remote to start the dust collection for the scroll saw. The 110v remote sells for $68.99 at Woodcraft.
The pictures above are links to the purchase pages on Woodcrafts site. These are not my affiliate links and I will not receive a percentage if you decide to purchase the products. I'm not trying to make money here. I just want to show how I set up my scroll saw dust collection.
