No more sticky fingers.

Most scroll saw artist's use spray adhesive to apply the pattern to the wood blank. This can be messy if you try to hold the pattern. I use a pull out tray from under my workbench. I just replace the peg board insert when it get's too gummed up.

If you don't have room for a pull out tray then the next option is to cut your self a spray paddle. Just cut the pattern from 1/4" thick Baltic Birch ply and you are ready to spray. No more sticky fingers.
