Halloween Cat Scroll Saw Pattern.

Important Information: The normal post will follow this information. Everyone should read this.

Anyone who uses Comcast to receive their email may not be receiving the Scrollsaw Workshop Newsletter for the last several days. This seems to also apply to some Hotmail accounts.

The newsletter is being sent out but it is being blocked by spam filters at Comcast. Comcast apparently does not check your email contacts list so adding the newsletter to your contacts will not work.

Contacting Comcast support is seldom helpful. You can try but you may be told they are not blocking the email. I have dozens of Comcast customers contacting me with the problem so I have to disagree with them. If you contact them feel free to let them know that dozens of people are affected.

One subscriber has somewhat solved the problem with these steps.

Regarding a step-by-step for dealing with Comcast email problem ...

Rather than accessing my email via Outlook Express I accessed Comcast directly via browser, then:

1. Settings (click "gear" icon located in the upper righthand corner of the window, then click "settings"
2. In lefthand menu, under MAIL, click Advanced Settings
3. Under SPAM filtering, check both boxes
    - enable spam filtering
    - Save a copy of emails marked as spam

This allows access to any messages regarded as spam, including those from Scrollsaw Workshop

... Tom

Thanks, Tom. This tip will allow the email through but it will go to your spam folder. This worked for Tom but I have not had it tested for anyone else yet.

As a last resort, you may have to visit the blog for the daily post and pattern. Hopefully, this Comcast issue will resolve its self with updates.

I post almost daily. If you receive the newsletter and it stops showing up for a few days it is very likely that it is being blocked by your provider. The first thing to try is to check your spam folder in your email client.

Please know that I spend $1,800 for my email service because they are the best at making sure emails get delivered. The email address I use for the newsletter is authenticated and that should prevent spam blocking. I only send the email to subscribers. It is never sent out as unwanted spam. The newsletter email address is not blacklisted on any of the blacklists.

Thanks for understanding. I am spending many hours trying to get the issue resolved but most of it is out of my hands.

This spooky Halloween Black Cat is showing his bones! There are two versions of this pattern. The small cat is about 8" X 8" and the large one is 10" X 10".

There are two layers. The front layer is 1/4" thick and the back layer is 3/4" thick.

After cutting both pieces, paint the front layer black including the edges. Paint the back layer white leaving a glue line.

Glue the pieces together at the glue line. Paint the remaining edges and the back black. If you plan on using the decoration outside use exterior paint. For an extra effect, you can use glow in the dark paint over the white paint.

Personalized Christmas Ornament Patterns:

I am still making good progress on ornament patterns. Any order that was received before today should be completed and sent to your email address by the end of today. Make sure you check your spam email folder if you do not see the patterns.

The price is $1 per name with a 5 name minimum. I keep the price as low as possible
because I want everyone to have a chance to make these ornaments for family and friends.

You only pay after you have received the order and are
100% satisfied with the patterns. Invoice included with
the pattern email. Pay by credit card(secure Paypal), check, or cash.

The patterns will be emailed to you after they are completed.
Please allow up to a week for delivery.

You can use last names on the ornaments if you like but remember that the more letters the more
difficult they are to cut. Ten letters and up gets pretty small. If you need to you can enlarge the patterns by 10% to make the interior cuts larger. No special characters are supported. I can get a hyphen in there but it looks odd. It has to connect the two letters so it does not just fall out.

$12 per sheet of 12 coins plus $3.50 shipping
Inlay with a 1" Forstner Bit.
The perfect way to sign your work.

Orion Motor Tech 40W Co2 Laser Engraving Cutting Machine, Digital Control 12" x 8" K40 Desktop DIY Wood Laser Engraver Cutter with Red Dot Pointer & Detachable Wheels(Latest Version)

I owned one of these inexpensive K40 Chinese lasers and got quite a bit of use from it before I upgraded. Let me tell you upfront. Do not buy this product unless you have above average technical skills. I made several modifications to my K40 before I had something I could use reliably. There are many K40 support forums online but you will not get much support from the seller. The reason to buy one of these K40s is price. They run under $500. The laser I upgraded to was close to $4000. That gives the hobbyist a tool that they can afford as long as their expectations are correct going into the purchase. Expect to have some problems. Expect to make adjustments. Expect to make some upgrades. Expect to not use the included software. There is better free software online.

  • ✂ DOUBLE DUTY OPERATING SURFACE, equipped with clamp for irregular objects and a level board for regular objects to improve your user experience.
  • ✂ UPGRADED CONTROL PANEL, the upgraded control panel now enables users to easily see the current volume etc. thanks to the upgraded rotary adjusting knobs.
  • ✂ INTEGRATED COOLING FAN, the pre-installed integrated fan for improved ventilation performance, easier operation, lower noise level and greater portability.
  • ✂ Newly Equipped Red Dot Pointer, red dot pointer can quickly indicate engraving spots and mark the path of the machine, identifying positioning sizes.
  • ✂ 4 DETACHABLE WHEELS, equipped with 4 detachable wheels at the bottom for easy movement and fixation. FDA Compliant, CE Certification, ISO9001 Quality Certification.
