This decorative tray is 10 inches long and 8 inches deep. It is cut from 1/4" walnut. You could make it a bit more decorative by using 1/2" thick wood for the bottom and routing a decorative edge. You might need to add a bit more length and width for the routed edge.
The construction is all slot and tab. Remember that you are always better to undercut the slots and sneak up on a good fit.

Auto Start Stop Delete/Disable/Eliminator
If you are a Ford owner with an Ecoboost motor then you may want to check this out. These motors have the Auto Start/Stop feature. I find the feature very annoying. Right after I bought my 2016 F150 Supercrew I took the dash apart and installed a jumper on the Start/Stop switch to make the switch on all the time. This eliminated the auto Start/Stop.
Unfortunately, the jumper has caused me trouble. At certain temps, the wire loses contact and the feature reenables.
While browsing Amazon I found this device that plugs between the switch and the harness. It looks like a better option than my jumper.
