Charles Dearing Custom Portraits and Pattern Books.

I consider Charlie one of the finest portrait pattern designers around and a friend. If you want a challenge jump over to his web site and look through his pattern books. If you need a custom portrait designed email Charlie.

Charlies' patterns are known for their detail and realism. He puts a great deal of time designing these patterns by hand using pencil and paper to get it just right.

I have added a graphic link to the left hand column of the blog so he will be easy to find if you ever need that custom pattern.

Charlie if a frequent participant and moderator in the Community Forum. If you would like to talk to him about how he designs his patterns look for him there. He loves to talk to other scrollers so don't be shy.

Online Free Pattern Catalog Updated.

May 1st was the 3 year anniversary of the Scrollsaw Workshop. I have spent the last few hours updating the free pattern catalog. I noticed that there are around 500 free pattern books to download. Many have multiple patterns per book. That adds up to more than one new pattern every other day for three years. I can't imagine there is a larger collection of free patterns any where on the web.

If you have not visited the catalog in a while take a look. There is sure to be something there for you to cut this weekend. Enjoy.

Henry the Wonder Dog.

On the heals of Prince the frog comes Henry the wonder dog. I hope these are as fun for you all to make as they are for me to design. I used 3/4" and 1/2" MDF for Henry. The eyes are 35mm wobble eyes I bought at Hobby Lobby. You should be able to find them at most craft stores.

Remember to visit the blog and make your daily entry for the giveaway. Find and click the yellow scroll saw.
