Panda Mini Clock Scroll Saw Pattern

This Panda mini clock requires a 1 7/16" clock insert. This pattern has some small interior cuts. You will probably need a 2/0 or a #1 size blade for a few of these cuts. Keep the thickness of the wood no thicker that 1/2" to make these small cuts easier.

The 2010 Scrollsaw Association of the World EXPO is this weekend July 10, 11. The events will take place at the Roberts Center in Wilmington Ohio. I will be attending both days and look forward to seeing some of you guys there. If you see me make sure you say hi.

I will have my laptop with me and will try to update the blog with reports form the show. If you can not attend check here for photos and video of the EXPO.

Sometimes simple is okay.

I'm a tinkerer. I have always enjoyed just going into my shop and making something quick. I don't like making 50 of something. I get bored. I occasionally enjoy cutting more intricate fretwork but not too often. It's just my nature to get bored quickly. This pattern is a good example of keep it simple.

I like this pattern because it is simple. It has a message and I think it's pleasing to the eye. I was able to cut it in about 15 minutes or less. It suits my poor attention span I guess.

I actually worked on this pattern for a couple days trying to add more to it but I just kept coming back to simple. For me sometimes simple is okay.
