My wife and I took a trip to Louisville today to attend the Ky state fair. We have not been for several years but had some extra time and decided to go. We spent most of our time in the arts and crafts section. There was some awesome work on display. Of course I enjoyed the woodworking section. It was small but there were a few scroll saw pieces. There was even one project entered that was from one of my patterns. That is always neat when I see a project that I designed on display.My wife loves to look at the cake decorating and quilting sections. Both of these areas were pretty large. Much larger than the woodworking section. That's disappointing to me but it's always been that way.
Patty is not a big fan of the livestock arena but I enjoy looking at the cattle and rabbit entries. My dad was a rabbit breeder so I have fond memories of when we had a couple hundred rabbits in the back yard. They had a sheep herding dog working. He was outstanding to watch. They had several ducks in the pen and he had complete control of the situation.
On the way out we stopped for a funnel cake. It's been a lot of years since I have eaten a funnel cake but they are as good as I remembered. LOL
