This
plate has an optional bevel cut. You can make the center plate extrude or recess by setting your scroll saw table to about a 5 degree angle to cut the inner ring. Practice with different angles on scrap wood so you can decide how much offset you get. Remember the larger the angle the less the center will move. 0 degrees and the piece will fall out. Personally I prefer that the center be inset but either way if fine for this pattern.
