Scrollsaw Workshop Blog Changes and Notes.

Just a quick note to point out a feature on the blog that often gets overlooked. At the top of the page just under the title header is a search bar. This search can be very useful. My blog is several years old with hundreds of blog posts. It takes hours to go through every post one at a time. You can use the search to find things you may remember from months ago but need to see again.

For example I did a post on using polymer clay for inlay in scroll saw projects. A quick search for "polymer clay" will take you back to May 16, 2010. There you will find details and a video on the technique.

In the past using this search bar was complicated by the fact that when you clicked on the results links it would take you to the top of the blog. From there you had to scroll down several screens to find the post.

I have made changes to the layout of the blog. The daily content is now closer to the top of the page. I moved all the other items below the daily content. The free software, Catalog DVD and other items are now below the daily content. I hope this will make the blog easier to read.

I don't want to see the other content get lost below the fold so I plan to incorporate these items in with the blog posts from time to time. Some of you long time readers may get tired of seeing these in the posts but they are important for me. The blog is funded from just a few sources. Donations(the main source of income for the blog), Pattern catalog DVD, Jigsaw puzzle pattern book and ads.

While these certainly don't make me rich they do allow me to fund the blog and keep me motivated to make it useful and enjoyable.

Hope you like the changes. Comments welcome.
