Pegasus Scroll Saw Pattern.

I had a request for a Pegasus pattern so here it is. I don't have much knowledge of Greek mythology. I took a look at Wikipedia and saw He was sired by Poseidon, in his role as horse-god, and foaled by the Gorgon Medusa. The symbolism of Pegasus varies with time. Symbol of wisdom and especially of fame from the Middle Ages until the Renaissance, he became one symbol of the poetry and the creator of sources in which the poets come to draw inspiration, particularly in the 19th century. Pegasus is the subject of a very rich iconography, especially through the ancient Greek pottery and paintings and sculptures of the Renaissance. Personification of the water, solar myth, or shaman mount, Carl Jung and his followers have seen in Pegasus a profound symbolic esoteric in relation to the spiritual energy that allows access to the realm of the gods on Mount Olympus.

It's all Greek to me but if you like mythology this might be a fun cutting. The original image came from www.vectorportal.com and was adapted by me.

In 2012 I made a range of Stand-up words for Christmas. Lately people have been asking for more patterns like those so I have made five new ones. One letter in a word has an image incorporated to describe the subject. Each has a base pattern included for the upright to be mounted on. The base can be given a decorative edge with a router and bit of choice. If you do not want to cut the designs in hardwood (I suggest 5/8" to 3/4" (16mm to 10mm), the upright pattern can be cut from 1/8" (3mm) wood and attached as an overlay to a hardwood backing, before mounting it on the base. Some people cut the projects from 1" (25mm) wood so that they can stand on their own. You can also make wall hangings by omitting the bases.
I am offering this set at a 20% discount as seen just below, but they are also available as single patterns.
