There are approximately 22,000,000 U.S. veterans. That number is large enough that we should all have a chance to say thank you to a veteran.
This pattern has interior lines. In scroll saw speak that is called veining. I often get email from new scrollers asking how these lines are made on the project. They are cut with the blade. Patterns with veining are designed so the interior lines connect to no more than one exterior segment. This allows you to cut the lines without causing the project to separate. Start the vein on the exterior and cut to the end of the line. Then you slowly back the blade out.
Veining usually shows up better on lighter colored wood. Baltic Birch plywood is a good option because it is so strong. Woods with open grain like Red Oak are not the best choice.
