You just bought your first scroll saw. Now what? Watch the video and find out.

I wanted to put up a video to show new scrollers how to get started without buying a shop full of tools. In this video I build a simple scroll saw project with only basic supplies and tools. If you have been around the hobby for a while you can use this video to show anyone you want to help get started.

It's nice to have lots of power tools. They make projects go faster and can save you money in the long run. The problem is that most new folks to the hobby won't have all those tools in their shop. Maybe they live in an apartment with very limited space. Whatever the reason they can still enjoy the hobby with just the basics.

The video is best viewed full screen in HD.

22 Tea Light Candle Patterns for the Scroll Saw.

There are 22 different designs included in this pattern book. They are 4.5" tall. I used a 1.5" diameter forstner bit to cut the recess for the candle.

I highly recommend that you use the battery powered tea lights for this project. They are much safer. The ones I used are 1.5" in diameter. If yours are a different size you may have to slightly modify the pattern.
