Camper Sign Scroll Saw Pattern.

This sign is 10.25 inches long. Cut from 1/2 inch thick wood.

I found this video posted on YouTube from Bill B. It is a walk through of the 2015 Midwest Scroll Saw and Woodworking show held August 14 and 15 in Dubuque Iowa. Thanks Bill I enjoyed watching the video.

This years show was in memory if Dirk Boelman.

Sports Car Scroll Saw Pattern. Happy Labor Day.

Toys are fun to make but you have to be aware of what age they are appropriate for. This 8" long sports car is best for ages 10 and up. It's not made for rough play. It's more of a decorative toy for the shelf.

I used store bought wheels but the pattern includes the correct size if you want to cut your own. They are 1 1/4" diameter with 1/4" axle hole. Here is a source for the correct size wheels.

You will also need 1/4" diameter dowel for the axle. If you wish you can buy axle pegs with the wheels.

There is a minor amount of carving to cut the head and shoulders of the driver. It's rally basic but you can add as much detail as you are comfortable with.

There are several pages of instructions in with the pattern. Remember you don't have to print the entire pattern book. Adobe Reader allows you to print just the pages you need. Just look at the printer dialog after you select print. I often get email from readers asking me not to include a cover page because it uses too much ink. I need the cover page because that's my branding. Just don't print it or any of the other pages you don't need.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy Holiday here in the U.S. Labor Day is a tribute to all the workers who make the country strong and prosperous. We Americans rank 3rd in productivity in the work place behind Germany and France. I think we need a vacation. Enjoy.
