F16 Fighting Falcon Scroll Saw Pattern.

The F16 Fighting Falcon was introduced in the 70's and is still in service today. It is a multi-role fighter jet. Around 5000 of these aircraft were built. They are no longer purchased by the U.S. but are still built for export customers. The nickname of the Falcon is "Viper" used by many of it's pilots because of it's resemblance to the viper snake. Some 25 nations around the world fly F16 making it one of the most successful fighter aircraft of all time.

There is considerable use of veining in this pattern. Veining is the process of cutting lines into the body of the project. The veins are cut with the scroll saw blade and then backed out of the cut. It's sometimes necessary to use a thicker blade to make the veins stand out better. When possible I try to use a #7 blade for veins.
