Book Thumb, solves a problem?

Here is the problem to be solved. It's difficult to read a book with one hand while holding your coffee mug with the other.

That's where the Book Thumb comes to the rescue.

With the Book Thumb worn on your thumb the book opens wide for easy viewing.

Unfortunately it was a total flop on my favorite reading device.

Okay I have to admit that this was not my idea. I have seen these several places on the web. Recently I received a few email requesting a pattern for the Book Thumb. I could not find anyone who claimed it was their original design. If you know where this idea originated let me know and I'll give them credit. I will also remove this pattern if requested by the original designer.

I included two different sizes of thumb holes. You may also want to experiment with the length to get the feel you want.
