Darts is a popular professional sport in the U.K. as well as other parts of the world. There are also thousands of amateur leagues where people enjoy the sport. If you ever have a chance to watch the top pros play you will be amazed. These men and women play at a level that is awesome.
In a game of 501 the object is for one player or a team to be the first to reach zero from starting total of 501. Getting three darts in the triple 20 gives the player 180. This is a difficult accomplishment but the pros do it a regular basis. For complete basic rules check out this link.
