On this holiday weekend in the U.S. let's all take a moment and appreciate this beautiful country we all share together. Be safe in your trips and have a wonderful Independence Day.

America the Beautiful
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!


The song "America the Beautiful" contains great meaning when you read the words.

"Spacious skies and Purple mountains majesties". We are blessed with wide open skies and the beautiful majestic mountains upon which this country was founded.

"Amber waves of grain and fruited plain". Against the grandeur of the open skies and majestic mountains we are provided with the basics for life such as food. We have the diversity of environment, biology and people to feed our body, mind and soul.

"America, God shed his grace on thee". It is by God's grace that we are lucky to be born in this country of abundant resources. His grace gives us the responsibility to care for these resources and use them wisely.

"Crown thy good with brotherhood". Because of the great gifts we have from being a citizen of this country it is our duty to offer brotherhood to all men and women.

"Sea to shining sea". Extend this brotherhood from sea to shining sea. No person or people should be forgotten. Every man woman and child should share in the labor, responsibility and fruits of citizenship of our country.
