The Thin Blue Line. God Bless the officers and family of the Dallas Police Departments.

This pattern took me a few days to come up with something that I thought was respectful. Today I received an email from a friend of one of the fallen officers. Crystal mentioned "The thin Blue Line". For those who may not know (The Thin Blue Line) is an emblem that represents the camaraderie between police officers. I hope this pattern shows the respect I feel for all the officers and family who have suffered during this tragedy.

I know this pattern is not inclusive of everyone who has felt a loss across the country. No disrespect is meant for all the officers and citizens around the U.S. not from the state of Texas. We are all in this together but I just felt a need to honor the heroism I saw in Dallas while the events unfolded.  

Let's all pray for a country where life is valued. Where respect for moral values is expected. Where authority can be trusted and appreciated. Where human rights are at the top of the order for all citizens. Where differences can be discussed openly and solved amicably through negotiation and not violence. Where hate can turn from everyday to yesterday.

I believe we are that country. No we are not perfect. Yes there are plenty of problems to solve. None of the problems are tougher than we can handle if we all take part.

The stripes in this pattern are cut from 1/4" thick wood and painted white and blue. The state of Texas is cut from 3/4" Thick wood. The officer is cut from 1/2" thick wood.
