It's a tough subject to talk about for many.

Many of you probably watched the Clinton/Trump Town Hall interviews the other night.  I sure don't want to talk politics here on the blog but one subject stood out to me. The question from the audience was about veteran suicide. The rate of  veteran suicides each day is 22. It's so sad that so many in and out of the military are not getting the help needed. Every life has value.

It just so happens that September is National Suicide Awareness and Prevention Month. I decided to design a pattern showing the telephone number of  The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
I did a little research and here is what I found out about this lifeline.

The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (1-800-273-TALK) is the United States based suicide prevention network of 161 crisis centers, that provides a 24/7, toll-free hotline available to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. After dialing 1-800-273-TALK (8255), the caller is routed to their nearest crisis center to receive immediate counseling and local mental health referrals. The Lifeline supports people who call for themselves or someone they care about. (Wikipedia)

I know that this is not a pattern that many will cut for themselves but if you are a member of your local American Legion Post or other military gathering place this might be welcomed. Maybe your doctors office or mental health clinic could display this in their offices. Even if no one ever cuts this pattern you never know when even one person might be helped just be seeing this post.
