Super Bowl 51 Scroll Saw Pattern. New England Patriots.

http://www.stevedgood.com/estore/estore.html
Wow! What a game. I bet a lot of people changed the channel in the third quarter thinking the game was over. One thing is for sure. Tom Brady didn't think it was lost. Brady led New England to 25 unanswered points in the fourth quarter and overtime to pull off the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history.

There were a lot of people rooting for the Atlanta Falcons around the country. For much of the game it looked like the underdog was going to give their fans what they wanted. Just one problem. New England has the greatest quarterback ever to play the game. Some people may disagree but the facts don't lie.

Congratulations to the New England Patriots and all their fans. What a night of celebrations it must be. Good luck not falling asleep at work tomorrow.

Information:

When I did my review of the Jet scroll saw three months ago I mentioned that I would keep you updated as I continued to use the machine. One topic was about the efficiency of the dust collections of the machine.

Tonight I decided to give it a longer test.
After two hours of cutting I have virtually no dust on the table. I did not clean the table during this time.
This photo is an area where dust usually settles. Right under the blade. As you can see it was extremely clean after the two hours.
The floor below the machine is very clean except for the cut out pieces that fell through the blade hole. Notice the stand rail. It is normally coated with dust after even a few minutes. It is totally clean.
I used the Miele Platinum S344 vacuum because if it's low noise level. Any vac will give the same results in my opinion. I just wanted to use the quietest vac I had.

As I have said before, I seldom use dust collection when scrolling. I just can't handle the noise. If you can afford a very quiet vac like this $400+ Miele or you don't mind the noise then the Jet scroll saw can give excellent results. I was very surprised by how efficient the dust collection was. If you have to use the scroll saw in an environment where dust is a big problem then the Jet's built in collection just might be the answer.

I will have more information on the Jet scroll saw soon.

DEWALT DW788 1.3 Amp 20-Inch Variable-Speed Scroll Saw

As I am writing the the price of this DeWalt DW788 is $445. This deal is without the stand and light but still a decent price for a good machine. If you are in the market to move up from an entry level machine this might be your answer.

  • Double parallel-link arm design dramatically reduces vibration and noise for extremely accurate cuts
  • Exclusive tool-free blade clamps allow blade changes in seconds
  • On-off switch, electronic variable speed, flexible dust blower, and blade-tensioning lever all located on front upper arm
  • Arm design pivots from back of the saw to front, shortening the arm movement for smoother, quieter operation
  • Arm lifts so blade can be easily threaded through the material for inside cuts
