Double Stacked Bowl Scroll Saw Pattern

http://www.stevedgood.com/estore/estore.html
This double stacked bowl is cut from 1/8" Baltic birch plywood. You will see in the pattern that it is cut from two sets of rings. One set is stained and then then both sets intermixed and stacked. The second set of rings are slightly smaller so you can stack them staggered like the picture or all aligned for a solid bowl wall,
Every step of this project is tedious. The rings are very thin and can be difficult to cut. They are also fragile and easily broken while sanding. It not the easiest project to glue up because the contact points have to be guessed when applying glue. Even though it is a little difficult to work with it's still a fun project. Just take your time during each step. This is also a great project to stack cut more than one bowl at a time.

PORTER-CABLE C2002-WK Oil-Free UMC Pancake Compressor with 13-Piece Accessory Kit

This was the compressor I started out with in my shop. I eventually bought a larger capacity machine but this one worked great for most tasks. I primarily use it for a blower and pin nailer. It could not keep up with some tools like grinders so that's not an option with these pancake compressors.

  • Constructed with a pancake style tank for optimal stability
  • Provides longer air tool performance
  • Contains a 6 gallon capacity
  • Includes 13 piece accessory kit
  • 150 psi max tank pressure stores more air in the tank for longer tool run times
  • 2.6 SCFM at 90 psi allows for quick compressor recovery time, per ISO1217
  • Air coupler and plug are factory installed on the air hose to save user labor and to prevent leaks
