Four Inch Purse Mirror Scroll Saw Pattern.

http://www.stevedgood.com/estore/estore.html
This small purse mirror will remind your lady just exactly how you feel about her when she looks in the mirror. I highly recommend that you use that line when you give it to her.

Always remember that the amount of shop time your wife allows you to have is directly proportional to number of thoughtful gifts you make for her. You can double that time if you make a thoughtful gift for her mother. She will give you credit, if you make a gift for her sister, but only if it's not nicer than the last gift you made for her.

I'm still playing with the acrylic mirror. I am surprised how well this stuff cuts. The letters on this four inch"You Look Beautiful" mirror cut even better than wood. I used a Pegas #1 modified geometry blade and it left smooth crisp edges.

I did a relief cut so the mirror would be inset into the wood. Remember to make practice cuts at different angles until you get about a 50% relief in 1/4" thick wood.

Information: Upgrades!

If you have followed my blog for any period of time you probably know I am a bit of a geek. I love technology but I have learned over the years to never trust a computer. They will bite you in the rear at the drop of a pin.

I run the blog on multiple computers. I have intentionally left the three main computers at Windows 7 just because I have a workflow and did not want to disrupt that with upgrade issues. I have other Windows 10 computers that I can test stuff on but for every day to day work I did not want to rock the boat.

Well, this last week I rocked the boat. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and jump in with the alligators. I have upgraded other computers to Windows 10 so I knew the things to look out for and it actually went pretty smooth.

I only had two major issues. One problem was that an old laser printer hated Windows 10 and refused to print. After a few hours of messing with it I just broke down and bought a new printer.  No big deal.

The second problem was a bigger issue. I use Pascal to write the software I have available on the blog. The Stencil Printer, $3 PDF viewer and the others are programmed in an older version of Borland Delphi. After the upgrade to Win 10, Delphi could not get past the registration screen. It was of course already registered several years ago but the upgrade lost the license.

This was bad because I need my programming tools to upgrade the $3 PDF catalog every month. I am mentioning all this so you know why the update to the $3 PDF catalog is so late. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. The good news is that after a few hours of messing with the program I got it registered thanks to a lot of Google searching.

Now that I have everything running I should be able to get the $3 PDF catalog updated soon. I'll probably change the catalog update process so I don't need to edit the actual viewer program every time so you may see some changes soon. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for your patience.
