October is breast cancer awareness month. One in eight women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Each year over one quarter of a million women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Everyone is impacted by this disease in one way or another.
Because of better screening and early detection the death rate from breast cancer has been slowly declining since the 1990's. That's good news but more needs to be done. If you have it in your means please support the fight against breast cancer.
The pattern is a little over 9 inches wide and 7 inches tall.

Artistry in Wood show is almost here:

The Artistry in Wood show is October 14th and 15th. The show is being held at the Roberts Centre in Wilmington Ohio. It is believed to be the largest show of it's kind in the US. The show is dedicated to woodcarving and woodworking art.
I will be the guest of Seyco. I will be in their booth both Saturday and Sunday. If you have the opportunity to visit the show please stop and say hello. Seyco will have their new Seyco ST-21 scroll saw at the show. Make sure you spend some time with this machine. I think you will be impressed. It might even be a good idea to take one home. :)
I have not attended this show before but I understand it is amazing. I have seen some of their exhibits online and they are incredible. Some of the best woodcarvers in the U.S. will be showing their art. I am super excited to have the chance to attend. If you can make the trip I'm pretty sure you will enjoy the show. You have a week to pack up the car and make the trip to Ohio. See you there.

Open your current PDF catalog to see which version you are currently running. You should be at version 11 after you download and install the update. The version shows at the bottom of the PDF catalog.
If you see the above dialog when trying to install the program click the "More Info" at the red arrow.
This dialog will then open and you can complete the install.
If you are not familiar with the $3 PDF catalog it is just a supplement to the free online catalog. This supplement makes browsing for patterns much easier. You will have a PDF that contains thumbnails of all the patterns. As you browse through the PDF and find a pattern you like you can use the included downloader program to get the pattern to your computer. There is an online version of the downloader program for MAC and tablet users.
