Swiss Cheese the Board Game Scroll Saw Pattern.

http://www.stevedgood.com/estore/estore.html
Swiss Cheese the Board Game. A game of dexterity and skill. Pull the strings and move the ball bearing through the Swiss cheese maze. Get it in top hole without losing the ball in any of the other holes. You can easily make your own maze pattern if this one is too easy. Just add more holes and make them close together. I kept this one easy enough so children would not get too frustrated. It's still pretty challenging especially when you use the dry erase marker to set a path then time yourself through that path.

The idea for this project game from a reader by the name of Tod Johnson. He sent me some pictures of a similar game only it was three or four feet tall. I made this one to work on your desktop.

It's best if you watch the video to see how it works.

Hole in Plexiglas to insert the steel ball bearing into the keeper.
1/2" steel ball bearing. A small marble will work also.
Pull the strings to raise the bearing to the top hole without it falling into any of the other holes.
I used eyelet screws to route the string.
Nuts tied to the string for weight and to keep the string in the eyelets.
The game sits slightly angled to the back to help keep the bearing in it's holder.
Use a dry erase marker on the Plexiglas front to set different paths. To add a little more challeng you can time the maze with your smartphone.
More eyelets at 10 and 2 to control the bearing keeper. I super glued a nut to the bottom
of the keeper to add weight and make it easier to control.

There are many things you can change on this project to make it look better. This was my first prototype pattern just to make sure it worked. Make any changes you think helps.
