Patriotic Eagle US Flag Scroll Saw Pattern.

http://www.stevedgood.com/estore/estore.html
This patriotic flag is ~15 inches wide.

YouTube video showing out of box problem saw:

This video is from a YouTube channel named Measure Once. It makes a point that I often make to readers who ask me which scroll saw to buy, and where to buy it. I thought I would share the video so you see what this guy goes through and how it was resolved.

Let me start by saying the scroll saw in the video is the Jet JWSS-22B. This is not a reflection on this make or model. The Jet is a fine machine. This one just had issues.

The guy doing the review is not very experienced with scroll saws and he makes a couple of points that I don't really agree with. That's not why I'm showing the video. I just want to point out that every scroll saw on the market can have out of the box issues. This is just one of the unfortunate facts of life that has to be understood.

Here are a few observations.

After the guy believes he has a problem machine he eventually contacts Jet support. He does not give many details but it sounds like they were pretty responsive. They made the correct diagnosis and recommended he send the machine back to where he purchased it.

He contacts Amazon and they process the replacement and send him another machine before he even sends the defective one back. That's one of many reasons I use Amazon so frequently. Their support is generally very good.

The main points I'm trying to make are to buy from a quality seller who handles returns easily. We all have budgets but you want to buy the highest quality you can afford. This will give you a better chance of receiving a working machine. Even if you buy a quality machine know that they can also be defective out of the box.

Email: This time of year I get clobbered with email. I wish I could answer all of them but it's just not possible. I'm sorry if you have not had a response from one of your emails. I will continue to work through as many as I can. Thanks for your understanding.
