John F. Kennedy Scroll Saw Portrait Pattern.

11" X 14" JFK Portrait.

I did not test cut this pattern. I have done my best to make sure that it is not too weak to cut. If you get to an area that feels weak just do on the fly editing of the pattern. I suggest Baltic Birch plywood for its natural strength.

I was six years old when JFK was assassinated. I was staying with my grandmother at the time of his death. I still remember the look on her face when they announced he had passed away. She was in shock. The whole country was in shock. I remember watching the news and people were crying in the streets. It was a tragedy that imprinted on the minds of most Americans who were around to see it.

Scrollsaw Workshop Pinterest Page:

For the last couple of years, I have posted my projects to Pinterest. I wish I had done this earlier because it is an easy way to link back to the blog post from an image of the pattern.
When you visit my Pinterest page you will see pages of images of my patterns. If you click the image you will see a page that looks like the image above. If you click the link at the top of that page you will be taken back to the blog post for that project.

Sometimes the blog post will have more detailed information about the project than is available from the free online pattern catalog.

I would like to go through my blog and post all the projects on Pinterest but it would take many hours. Maybe one day I will bite the bullet and do it but in the meantime, this may be a handy link for you to use.

Exciting News. We have another giveaway for this month.

Stephen over at Bear Woods recommended that we do a giveaway in conjunction with the Midwest Scroll Saw and Woodworking Trade Show. You do not have to be at the show to win.

We will have three winners.
#1 will receive a $300 gift certificate from Bear Woods sponsored by the Scrolsaw Workshop
#2 will receive a $150 gift certificate from Bear Woods sponsored by Bear Woods.
#3 will receive an incredible scrolled piece of art by Charles Dearing. This artwork will be cut live at the show. After the show, it will be packaged and sent to the winner. You will love this artwork.

The contest is open to the world. Enter once per day.
The entries will end 7/31/2018 at midnight. Winners will be drawn during the show.
We will try to stream the drawing live if we have a decent internet connection.
