Colt 45 Plaque Scroll Saw Pattern.

All the gun collectors and your family will love to get one of these for Christmas. This is a very simple project to cut and it looks pretty convincing.

This colt 45 plaque is 12 inches long and 7 inches tall. There are only 11 parts to cut on this pattern. A successful result is all about contouring.
All the parts except the handle are cut from MDF. All the parts are 1/4 inch thick except for the two parts of the chamber. The chamber is 1/2 inch thick.
Use all the tools you have at your disposal to do the contouring. I used sandpaper, sanding disk, sanding drum, carving tools and a Dremel tool. Take your time and get the contouring correct.
The picture above shows all the parts after they been contoured. Glue everything in place except for the wooden handle.
Mask off an area to later glue on the handle. Give the body of the gun several coats of black spray paint.
Glue the handle in place and give the whole weapon a couple coats of spray lacquer.
Now you can glue the pistol to the plaque and don't forget to order your custom signature coins so you can sign this project. How was that for a cheap plug? :)

Order Your Custom Signature Coins:

$12 per sheet of 12 coins plus $3.50 shipping.
Four designs to choose from.
These custom signature coins give that special project a special signature.
Show the pride you put in your work by adding you signature.
