Christmas Door Wreath Scroll Saw Pattern.

I included two sizes of this pattern. The large one is ~15 inches and the small one is ~10 inches.
The large pattern is for hanging on your front door. You will probably want to use plywood and an exterior grade finish or paint. I am considering using this pattern as one of the custom Christmas patterns this year. I will make a spot for the family name across the bottom.

Be prepared in case of fire:

Just about every year I receive an email from a reader who has lost their workshop or even worse their house to fire. Even small fires can be catastrophic. Just the smoke damage alone can be terrible. That is bad but things can be replaced. Lives are what has to be at the foremost in our decision making when we make a fire plan.

I am not going to play fire safety expert here. I don't have the knowledge to do that but I can help spread the word and bring attention to the problem. Our workshops have to be high on our list of places to keep safe. The opportunity for a fire in a poorly kept workshop is high.

At the very least make sure you practice the basics for fire prevention. Check outlets and extension cords and replace as necessary. Always dispose of oily rags in the correct containers. Store combustible chemicals properly. Keep and maintain a fire extinguisher that can be quickly accessed.

Heroes are often celebrated after they are dead. Everyone wants to save their possessions when a fire breaks out but that is not always the best first option. A fire extinguisher is only useful before the fire has gotten too big for it to control. Educate yourself on the use of a fire extinguisher and know when it is just time to get the hell out.

Even if you think the fire is small and under control you need to sound the alarm to everyone in the house to get out. You should almost always call 911 when fire starts.

Please take the time to walk your property this week and make a list of any possible fire hazards. Fix everything on your list with urgency. A house fire can change your life in horrible ways. It's worth taking some time to maybe prevent a very bad day. Just do it.
