Christmas Scene with optional LED light Kit Free Scroll Saw Pattern.

This Winter Christmas scene is 10.25 inches wide and almost 8 inches tall. It is cut from Baltic birch plywood. There are three layers with spacers between each layer. The layers are separated by 1/4 inch which gives a nice shadow effect. Tip: When you glue this project together super glue with the activator is much easier to use than wood glue. The instant bond keeps you from having to figure out how to add clamps.

It's easy to add an optional LED light kit. Just add the LED strip between the back layer and the house layer.

Here is an LED strip light kit that you can buy from Amazon for $25.99. These are often used in computer builds but they work very nicely for lighting craft projects. The LED's do not generate much heat so they are safer to use. This kit includes a remote and the LED's are capable of color and different effects. The strips are self-adhesive.

Some folks in our community could use our help:

I have been working on a problem that I would like to get some input from the community. I have had the opportunity to work with a few individuals in our community who have disabilities that make it difficult to use the scroll saw. I am working on a particular issue right now.

Installing a scroll saw blade can be difficult for people who have lost some control of the muscles in their hands. Parkinson's, stroke and arthritis are just a few of the conditions that come to mind.

Using a scroll saw can be great therapy for these folks but if we can make it easier to enjoy their time at the saw they would be very appreciative.

Here is what I am looking for. Any information including tips or jigs that you use or have seen used or that are just an idea that makes it easier to install a scroll saw blade. No idea is too simple.

I have a list of ideas already but I would like to get as much input as possible.

If you suffer from a condition that makes it difficult for you to use the scroll saw then let me hear what the challenges are. Is holding the blade difficult? Is it difficult to get the blade in the machine right side up? Do you have trouble tightening the blade clamp? I sure there are issues that I can not think of so let me hear from you.

Thanks for your time.
