Mini Box Free Scroll Saw Pattern.

Do you have two-hundredths of a board foot or lumber in your shop? If you do then you have all you need to make this tiny finger joint earring box. The box is 1.75" X 1.5" X 1.25" and is cut from 1/8" thick Baltic birch plywood.

The finger joints are hand cut on the scroll saw so you have to cut with accuracy. With a little care, you can get these 1/8" finger joints pretty tight. You can always undercut the fingers then sneak up on the fit by nibbling away with the blade until the fit is just right.

My wife, Patty likes to keep a little dish beside her sink to hold her earring while she gets ready to go out. She happened to mention that she could also use a small box to sit beside her living room chair to place her earring so she would not lose them. That's where this box idea came from. I also wanted to test making very tiny finger joints on the scroll saw.

I used a #2/0 blade and turned the speed of the saw down to about 50%. I stack cut the sides of the box. It's easier to cut wood this time when you stack cut and it speeds things up a bit.

I included several simple ornaments to put on top of the box. You can also just leave the box plain.

Way behind on Email. Sorry.

Hey folks. I apologize for not answering all of your emails. This time of year my inbox really goes crazy. I am slowly working through as many as I can get to. Unfortunately, some of the email does not get a reply. I just run out of time. I am truly sorry I can't answer each of them. I'll do my best.

As a favor to me please limit your email message to a short paragraph. Email that is multi-paragraph is just too much for me to handle this time of year. Thanks for your understanding.

I tried to get my dog, Holly to help me out with the email backlog but she demanded more doggie treats than I could afford. Good help is hard to get.

Some of you know that I am a YouTube junkie. I subscribe to dozens of channels and consume more than is a reasonable amount of hours each week watching them. I love watching woodworker, crafters, artist, and creators make things.

This young lady from The Square To Spare channel is just excellent at miniature crafting. If you enjoy this type of work check out her video and consider subscribing to her channel.
