Reindeer Candle Holder Scroll Saw Pattern.

Let me stop the emails before they start. If you use a real candle with this project, remove the paper wrap before you light the candle. This reindeer candle holder will hold a three-inch diameter candle. If you use the included paper wrap decoration is will wrap up to a three-inch diameter candle.

The base of the candle holder is cut from 1/2" thick wood. The candle platform is 1/4" thick.
This time of year I like to produce some easy level patterns. Everyone is busy making crafts for the holidays and they often want quick cuts. This is a project that you can complete in just a few minutes. There are a total of four interior cuts. The only tricky part to the pattern is getting the interlocking parts to fit well. I suggest that you slightly undercut the slots then test the fit. Cut or sand until you get a snug fit. To see what I am talking about look at the pattern.
The paper wrap should be printed on a matte photo paper. Cut it along the dotted lines and carefully wrap it around the candle. Glue it in a loose cylinder so it is easily removed.

Let's solve the most misdiagnosed problem with your scroll saw:

This video may save you frustration and money. I am going to show you how to solve a problem with a scroll saw that I receive tons of email about. The video is primarily intended for owners of the DeWalt class of machines. This includes the DeWalt DW-788, Delta 40-694, Excalibur EX 21, Seyco ST-21, King scroll saw, and others in this class. Other saw owners may also be helped by this video but you will need to source the parts from your saw manufacturer.

Here is the link you need after watching the video. This is where you can get the parts.

Newsletter:

I understand that some people don't actually read these posts but I want to repeat something from the other day. When I moved the Newsletter to the new service I mentioned that I would keep the old service running until I was confident I had the bugs worked out of the new system.

This means that you will receive duplicate newsletters until I deactivate the old system. I am getting dozens of emails letting me know that they are receiving duplicates. I can't respond to all of these emails so I am hoping this will help. My plan is to deactivate the old system next week.

As a reward to anyone who reads this comment, I want to do a giveaway. Send an email to support@stevedgood.com. I have to receive the email before the end of the day Tuesday, October 23rd, 2018. That's today so this also rewards those who read my posts every day. In the subject field type "Giveaway". In the text of the email type. "I actually read your posts.". I will randomly draw one email and send you a $50 Amazon gift certificate. Follow the directions above or you cannot win.

I have said before and I'll say it again. The Delta may not be the best saw on the market but is may be the best value. You get a mid-level class machine for nearly an entry level price.
