Business Card and Pen Holder Scroll Saw Pattern.

Sometimes it's fun to raid the scrap bin and see if a project jumps out. I had this small piece of spalted maple that could not go in the trash. It is just too beautiful to waste. When I picked it up I heard it say "I need to sit on your desk.".

I keep business cards and a pen on my desk and they needed a new home. A business card and pen holder was born.

It's easy to overwork a pattern when the wood is actually the star. I kept this as simple as possible.
Because it is so simple it makes a nice product for your craft shows or Etsy sales.

You can make these so quickly that your time and material cost is minimal. I know there are some of you who turn pens on your lathe. You take the pens to your craft shows to sell. This projects could be an excellent upsell for you pen business.

If you own a drill press you have probably experienced this problem. In this video I solve it.

I use my drill press almost as much as any tool in my shop. It is a Craftsman floor model drill press and it has worked well for me for several years. I have added a decent woodworking table and a motorized lift system but there is still one thing that drives me crazy. The depth stop adjustment nuts are terrible. In this video, I solve that problem. If you have the same problem take a look at this simple $3 fix.
