You can add interest in this set by playing with the direction of the wood grain. You could also cut each panel from a different species of wood. For a modern art theme, you could paint each panel a different color. Use your imagination.

New Zealand Memorial Pattern:
I have several readers who live in New Zealand. A few days ago New Zealand suffered one of the darkest days in their history. At least 50 people were killed and 50 wounded in a senseless attack. Many of those killed and wounded were migrants to New Zealand.
New Zealand's Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern said that those killed had chosen to make New Zealand their home. "They are us" she said. Those words show the compassion that reflects the people of New Zealand.
When I had a request to do this pattern I had to give it as much thought as possible. This type of pattern can be very sensitive. People are grieving and I just want to show support and let the citizens of New Zealand know that the world cares.
To all the people of New Zealand, I wish you the strength to heal from one of the toughest times in your countries history.
