Western Silhouette Art Scroll Saw Pattern.

I have always liked metal silhouette art. This western silhouette art sculpture is cut from 1/4" thick Baltic birch plywood and painted black to simulate painted metal art. Including the two spacers, it is six layers deep. The base is 1/2" thick and ten inches long.

There are also metal textured paints on the market. It might be interesting to try something like the Bronze paint below to see what the effect is. I will try to pick some up and see how it works.

Where to Buy Scroll Saw Replacement Parts: Not an Ad....

This is not a paid or affiliate ad.

I occasionally receive email asking where I buy replacement parts for my scroll saws. Sometimes I will order directly from the manufacturer but I also use eReplacementParts.com. I do not have any affiliation with this company but I have used them several times and they have been excellent. I have even helped people find parts for tools that are no longer sold or supported by their manufacturer.

I have purchased parts for scroll saws and other home appliances(microwave, refrigerator, and even a television). Their prices are generally better than large manufacturers. The shipping has been reasonably priced and not slow.

One pricing example is the DeWalt thumb screw. eReplacementParts.com is higher on the cost of the part but much cheaper on shipping. They sell the thumbs screw for $13.40 plus $5.50 for economy shipping. DeWalt sells the thumb screw for $11.75 but their shipping is $10.99.

The total cost of $18.90 for eReplacementParts.com compared to DeWalt $22.74. The $3.84 difference may not break the bank but some more expensive parts can have a greater difference so it is worth comparing prices.
