Football(Soccer) Scroll Saw Pattern.

Football(Soccer) is the most viewed sport in the world. There are an estimated 4 billion fans worldwide. That is half of the population of the world who consider themselves fans.

This pattern is 10" X 8".

Note about printing scroll saw patterns. If your print is not the correct size it is possible that the scaling is set to (Fit to page). You have to set the print driver to (Actual size) for many patterns to print correctly.

PDF printing can be confusing. The original PDF viewer is Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. A few years ago the modern browsers started including their own PDF viewers. These often have fewer features than Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. One feature that can be missing is the (Actual size) print.

If your browser has trouble printing PDF files correctly then I recommend using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC for printing my patterns. Disabling the browsers built-in PDF viewer is done in the settings but it is different for different browsers. You may need to Google the instruction to set Adobe Acrobat Reader DC as your browsers default viewer.

Workshop Hearing Protections is Important.

I am not a sound specialist. These are just my observations and experiences. You should consult your doctor for expert medical advice.

I spent a good part of my 37-year career working around loud machinery. For many years I worked in my workshop without hearing protection. As a result, I have a significant hearing loss. I am most affected when there are several people talking in a large group.  My audiologist has suggested hearing aids but I have not made that decision yet.

Hearing protection is something that many woodworkers do not consider until the damage is done. OSHA publishes guidelines for when hearing protection is needed. They are based on how long the exposure is for a given dB.

The readings below are with the tools not under load. These are idle readings and they are already at levels where prolonged exposure will cause hearing damage. When the tools are put under load they can get considerably louder.

I now use hearing protection for all the high noise generating machines in my shop. I have four over-ear hearing muffs. I keep them spread out around the shop so they are always handy. I can never get my lost hearing back but I sure don't want to make it worse.

If you do not have hearing protection in your shop please consider adding something. There are several Ear Muffs on Amazon from different price ranges. You can even find a cheap pair at Harbor Freight for under $5. The Harbor freight earmuffs won't last forever but they are better than nothing.

You can find more durable sets on Amazon.

Footnote(1) When the daily noise exposure is composed of two or
more periods of noise exposure of different levels, their combined
effect should be considered, rather than the individual effect of
each. If the sum of the following fractions: C(1)/T(1) + C(2)/T(2)
C(n)/T(n) exceeds unity, then, the mixed exposure should be
considered to exceed the limit value. Cn indicates the total time of
exposure at a specified noise level, and Tn indicates the total time
of exposure permitted at that level. Exposure to impulsive or impact
noise should not exceed 140 dB peak sound pressure level.
