Jet Scroll Saw Update. IMPORTANT
I received an email today from Fred O. about the Jet Scroll Saw. Fred told me about some changes Jet has made to the saw. He bought the 18" version of the saw but I am assuming Jet made these changes to the 22" saw also. I'll try to confirm that when I can.
One issue the Jet saw had was short blade travel. This caused the reverse teeth of a reverse tooth blade not to come above the table and not be utilized. This was a problem that had workarounds but still a nuisance.
Fred sent me pictures showing the lower clamp. Jet has added two magnets(Red Arrow) to the clamp holder. They also changed the height of the clamp to increase the blade travel. This should make reverse teeth blades work now.
I am not certain what problem the magnets have solved. I never had a problem with the clamp falling out. I'll try to find the answer to that question.
I will be investigating to see if the upgrades can be added to existing saws. I'll report back as soon as I get more information.
