If you have a fisherman in your family you know how much fun it is to remind them of the one that got away. How many times have they "almost" caught that 18lb largemouth bass?

Bear Woods at the Midwest Scroll Saw & Woodworking Trade Show:

My friend, Stephen Dinesen the owner of Bear Woods asked me to let everyone know about some exciting news. August 2nd and 3rd they will be attending the Midwest Scroll Saw & Woodworking Trade Show in Dubuque Iowa

They will have some live streams from the show. You can watch for them at this Facebook group. They will be showing the Pegas scroll saw and the new Pegas Scroll Band Saw in action.

Even more exciting news is the BearWoods and Grobet USA sponsored giveaway. They will be donating the Pegas 21" scroll saw for the grand prize giveaway. You have to be there to sign up and win but that would be a nice trip home if you won.

Bear Woods is also in the process of adding more woodworking tools to its product line. These additions are in the early stages. Stephen will be seeking information and adding more products in the near future. If you see him at the show make sure you ask about the new tools and give your input.

Our friend Bob Duncan former editor at Scroll Saw and Woodworking and crafts magazine and current product manager for Grobet USA will be in the booth with Bear Woods. Make sure you say hello.

Miter Mike and Wes Balko will also be in the boot. Make sure you stop and give them a hard time. They are both knowledgeable woodworkers and scroll sawyers.

Some of you know that I wanted to attend the show last year and had to back out because of the death of a friend. Well, another situation has caused me to not be able to attend this year. My wife is having surgery in a few days and needs me here. I was looking forward to seeing everyone and I'm disappointed I won't be able to make the trip. I hope all who attend have a wonderful show. Fingers crossed for next year.

Craftsman Adjustable Hydraulic Seat Stool, Black

I am not a small guy. I need a stool that can stand up to my size. I set my saws up for a standing position and then use a tall stool. That is just my preference so I can stand or sit and scroll.

I have purchased two of these Craftsman stools and they are very sturdy and comfortable. The backrest is a nice addition for comfort. The stools have held up very well and they get a lot of use.

When I posted this they only had two left in stock. Current price is $85.50. That is less than I spent ten years ago for the same stool.
