Large Chess Set Scroll Saw Pattern.

Download Below

Want to make something unique for a Christmas gift? How about a 4' X 4' Chessboard set. The pattern book includes the patterns for all the pieces. The game board is on you. Suggestions below.

These patterns are very basic level patterns. The only interior cuts are in the bases. Each base has a slot and that's it. If you have a saw that only uses pin-end blades then this is a patter you can cut.

This chess set is large. The King is nine inches tall. I cut these three sample pieces from 1/4" thick Baltic birch plywood. You could use something cheaper like 1/4" MDF if that helps. You are going to need between 19 and 25 12" X 12" sheets.

25 sheets of 1/4" x 12" x 12" will run you about $60 on Amazon. If you have a local lumber yard who sells BB ply you will get it cheaper but it will come in 5' X 5" sheets.

The image above shows an estimated layout of the pattern on 12" X 12" boards. There is a good chance you will need a few more.

The chessboard will need to be 48" X 48". That's a big chessboard.

You could paint a 4' X 4' piece of plywood with 6" X 6" squares.
Another option that would be easier to store would be a chessboard made from
fabric. Sew 64, 6" X 6" squares. I am no seamstress but I suspect you will need some heavy
duty fabric backer also.

The links below are for large checkers sets. The top one is 48" x 48" but it sounds like the mat might be a little flimsy.  The second one looks like the mat might be a little more durable. I have not touched either one so I can't recommend as far as quality.

Personalized Christmas Ornament Patterns all caught up:

As of 2am-11/19/2019 all the orders have been emailed out. If you are expecting an order you should have them. If you have not received them in your email then please check your spam folder. If you do not fiend them there then send me an email and I will send them again.

If you plan to pay by check, money order, or cash please let me know so I will be able to keep track.

If you have any trouble paying online from the invoice make sure you look at the instructions on the invoice. One odd thing that the Paypal online payment for does is reject the $. If you owe $10, then type 10.00 not $10.00.

Still, plenty of time to make these ornaments for family and friends. Use the links below to place your orders. I should be able to turn them around in two or three days.

Thanks for all the orders.

Personalized Christmas Ornament Patterns:

I am still making good progress on ornament patterns. I should be able to get caught up today. If you have orders in the queue, keep your eye on your email inbox.

The price is $1 per name with a 5 name minimum. I keep the price as low as possible
because I want everyone to have a chance to make these ornaments for family and friends.

You only pay after you have received the order and are
100% satisfied with the patterns. Invoice included with
the pattern email. Pay by credit card(secure Paypal), check, or cash.

The patterns will be emailed to you after they are completed.
Please allow up to a week for delivery.

You can use last names on the ornaments if you like but remember that the more letters the more
difficult they are to cut. Ten letters and up gets pretty small. If you need to you can enlarge the patterns by 10% to make the interior cuts larger. No special characters are supported. I can get a hyphen in there but it looks odd. It has to connect the two letters so it does not just fall out.

Personalized Pet Christmas Ornaments Ready to Order:

Sorry I have been so slow getting these Personalized Pet Christmas Ornament patterns ready. The order form is now live. The patterns are $2 per name with no minimum. The order form will take up to five names. If you need more than that I just fill out a separate form.

The ornaments include the year but you can cut that part of the pattern off if you prefer them without the year.

When you cut the veining on the ornaments you can add a touch of glue to the back after the vein is cut. This helps add strength back if needed.
