Basket Scroll Saw Pattern.

Download Below

This pattern book has two sizes for this basket pattern. The small basket is 6" wide and cut from 1/8" thick wood. The large Pattern is 12" wide and cut from 1/4" thick wood. The large basket is over 7" tall.

This is another project where stack cutting will be very helpful.

A really cool project:

Buy on Amazon

I received an email from David Wood today with a neat story. David's two oldest children wanted to start a business. He taught them how to use the scroll saw and they started their business selling ornaments. The business turned into a great bonding experience for the family.

David's daughter has artistic talent so she designed a set of children puzzles which they have had published in book form and are selling it on Amazon. The book has 20 puzzle patterns. All the money from the book sales goes toward the family college fund.

If you have young children/grandchildren or sell puzzles at craft shows then this book looks fun. The bright colors and simple puzzles are sure to please the youngest puzzle solvers.

I absolutely love the idea that David and his family are working together to run this business. Just think of all the lessons these children are going to learn from this adventure.

Personalized Christmas Ornament Patterns:

I am still making good progress on ornament patterns. I should be able to get caught up today. If you have orders in the queue, keep your eye on your email inbox.

The price is $1 per name with a 5 name minimum. I keep the price as low as possible
because I want everyone to have a chance to make these ornaments for family and friends.

You only pay after you have received the order and are
100% satisfied with the patterns. Invoice included with
the pattern email. Pay by credit card(secure Paypal), check, or cash.

The patterns will be emailed to you after they are completed.
Please allow up to a week for delivery.

You can use last names on the ornaments if you like but remember that the more letters the more
difficult they are to cut. Ten letters and up gets pretty small. If you need to you can enlarge the patterns by 10% to make the interior cuts larger. No special characters are supported. I can get a hyphen in there but it looks odd. It has to connect the two letters so it does not just fall out.

$12 per sheet of 12 coins plus $3.50 shipping
Inlay with a 1" Forstner Bit.
The perfect way to sign your work.

Need a Christmas present for a woodworker?

I am going to join the crowd and do a top-five list. These are all products that I own and have purchased from Amazon. There should be a price range for any need. These are some of my favorite products that I think any woodworker would like to receive.

I selected these based on what I think is a good value for a useful product.

Click the image to see the product on Amazon. These are affiliate links. Your price stays the same and you help support what I do when you buy these products. Thanks.

The Bucket Boss canvas apron is priced at $16.99. It is good quality and priced low enough that I don't worry about getting glue all over it.

The DataVac electric duster is one of the most used tools in my shop. It puts out a powerful stream of air. I use it to blow the dust off of myself and projects before applying the finish. I use it to help dry oil finishes and many other uses. It is $84.99 and I would happily pay for another one if I lost the one I own.

The Oneida Dust Deputy is a cyclone separator for your shop vac. It collects all the large particles in the bucket and saves your shop vac filter.  It keeps you from having to empty the shop vac so often. The efficiency is off the chart. The Dust Deputy sells for $107.37.

The WEN Air Filtration system is a gift you give your lungs. Clean air is valuable. This three-speed air filtration system sells for $136.95. I use it in my two-car garage workshop. I set the time to run for a couple hours after I leave the shop also. This is for a small shop. If your shop is large then consider a larger air filtrations system or buy more than one of these.

The WEN Portable Variable Speed Spindle Sander is compact and powerful. I have a workbench spindle sander and this portable dows just as good of a job. It comes with clamps so you can mount it to your workbench or you can use it handheld. At $54.99 it is a steal.
