Buffalo Wooden Nickel Scroll Saw Pattern. Win $100

Download Below

I am going to tell you how to turn a nickel into $100.

Back in 2013, I did a wooden nickel giveaway. I want to do it again with a different wooden nickel pattern.

Follow the directions or your entry will not count. Don't lose $100 because you did not read the rules.

1.  Cut this pattern in any of the three sizes included in the pattern book.

2.  Take a picture of the nickel and email it to me at giveaway@stevedgood.com
please copy the email address exactly. don't forget the d between steve and good.

3.  Type Nickel in the subject line.

4.  Include your full name and the state or country you live in.

5.  I will draw the winner at random from all eligible entries Saturday 2/29/2020.
You have a full week to cut the wooden nickel.

The winner will receive a $100 Bear Woods gift certificate.

This wooden nickel can be cut from two layers of Baltic birch plywood for an inexpensive novelty gift. I did not try but you could probably cut it from 1/4" MDF and use silver spray paint for a unique look. I included an optional 1/8" backer board to close up the text. I don't like to see through the text cutouts.

There are three sizes of this buffalo nickel pattern. 8", 6", and 5".
I cut the 5" pattern and it is a bit of a challenge because the text is pretty small. If you are new you may have an easier time with the larger patterns.

Inexpensive LED light Strip from Walmart: $4.88

I was in Walmart last night and I saw this LED light kit for $4.88. It is a remote-controlled 5.5 foot USB powered light strip. I like to use these lights in projects. This is just about as cheap as I have seen them even online. You can cut the strip to any length.

The remote has several modes and color selections.

There is one problem with this kit for our purposes. It does not come with the USB wall wart. You will have to add that separately. You can buy them inexpensively as well. Amazon has a pack of six for $11.29. That's less than $2 apiece so the total kist is under $7. You may even have extra wall warts from old phones around the house. I have several in my junk drawer.

This is what the box looks like. I found them in the electronics department but when I got home I could not find them online. You will just have to check and see if your Walmart has them.

This is the complete kit. Remote, USB to LED cord and 5.5' LED light strip.

My Personalized Signature Coins:

Installed flush using a 1" Forstner bit.

Hundreds of you have ordered my Personalized Signature Coins for your projects. I truly appreciate all the orders and I hope you are enjoying these additions to your projects.

For those of you who are new to my blog, I wanted to pass along the information about these coins.

I can only ship to the US. I do this so I can keep up with the orders. I am a one-man business and these coins take several minutes to produce. I don't want to give poor service by taking on more than I can handle. Sorry to those outside the US.

The coins come 12 to a sheet. There are four styles of the coin. You can see the styles on the order form. I can put two sheets in one shipping envelope(24 coins). The coins are cut so they will easily twist out.
You can install the coin flush in your project with a 1" Forstner bit. You can watch the video above for all the details.

Every blog post/email newsletter has a link to the order form. It follows directly below this article.
