Hexagon Box Scroll Saw Pattern.

 Download Below

This pattern comes in two sizes. The small box is about 7 inches long and 3 inches tall. The large box is about 14 inches long and 6 inches tall.

The construction is slot and tab. There are several pieces to get lined up. I did not apply any glue until I had all the pieces assembled. Then I used CA glue and activator on top of each slot.

Then I glued on the top and bottom covers to complete the box.

The small box is a good size for a desk. The large box could be used in the kitchen or as a flower pot box. Use your imagination.

Walmart surprised me:

Buy on Walmart
Not an affiliate link

This laptop is inexpensive and worth a look if you need a budget computer that actually works half decent. I paid $250 a couple days ago but they bumped it up to $299 today.

This is not a paid review. I do not have an affiliate connection with Walmart.

I have lost count of the number of computers I have bought over the years. Let's just say a bunch. I started in 1980. Right now I have ten computers in my house. Some are for running my CNC, laser, and 3D printer. Three are for running the Scrollsaw Workshop business and a few are for entertainment.

Over the years I have made the mistake of buying low-end computers trying to save money. They always ended in disappointment. There is nothing worse than a slow computer. I promised I would never make that mistake again. Well, I just bought another low-end laptop. Did I screw up?

The other day I was watching Linus Tech Tips review a low-end Walmart laptop. It sounded too good to be true but I trust Linus so I bought one. At the time it was $250. It has since gone up to $299.

The brand is Motile. I know. I have never heard of this brand either. The best I can tell it is a Walmart exclusive deal.

I received the laptop today and set it up. This laptop competes with my thousand dollar laptops that are just three years old. The screen is good. The keyboard is acceptable for a laptop. It has large keys which are nice. The audio is good for a laptop. It has a metal case that feels good and it has enough power to run some games at lower settings with a decent frame rate.

If you attach an external monitor, speakers, mouse and nice keyboard you would have an acceptable desktop computer for web browsing, productivity, and even some gaming. I would not buy all those accessories for this unit but if you have those parts laying around it would work pretty well for the price.

It is an AMD Ryzen 3 processor with Radeon Vega 3 graphics. It includes a 128gb SSD with room for a second SSD. 4gigs of ram and a not so great 720p camera.

I am impressed. For the $250 I spent it is a steal. The price jumped back up to $299 after I bought mine but even at that price I consider this a very good value. If you need a second computer or a carry around laptop and have a strict budget then this is a good buy.

One issue that we need to watch is the impact on the shutdown of so many supply lines out of China. If things don't come back to full production soon we will see large price jumps in computers. If you think you need a new computer in the next few months then now is probably the time to buy. Nobody can predict the future but I think it is a good bet that the retailers won't take the hit. It will be us.

Sorry for the non-scroll saw information but I thought it could be useful for some. Before you but make sure you watch Linus Tech Tips Video for more details.
