Basket of Flowers for Mother's Day Scroll Saw Pattern.

Download below

How about a basket of roses for mom on Mother's Day? This basket of roses pattern is almost eleven inches tall. You only have a couple of days to cut this so you better get started. I would guess it is about a three or four hour cut. If you want to cut it from a hardwood you will probably have to do a glue-up because it is over ten inches wide. I would cut it out of Baltic birch plywood. The ply will make the piece a little stronger which it probably needs.

My Favorite Shop Apron:

I have mentioned this before but I always wear an apron when working in the shop. I tend to get glue, stains, paint, and anything else I get close to on my clothes. The apron prevents most of those stains from ending up on my clothes. I also appreciate the pockets in the apron.

The problem I used to have was that my apron costs more than my clothes. I can remember paying close to $80 for an apron. I ruined it is less than a year. It looked bad and I hated wasting that much money.

Then I found the Bucket Boss Canvas apron. This thing is made as well as more expensive aprons and only costs $18.61 on Amazon. The shoulder straps are padded. The canvas is not too thin. It has three pockets. I wish it had a larger bottom pocket but I make due. It fits up to a 52" waist.

I believe I am on my fifth Bucket Boss apron. None of them have ever broken or worn out. I just simply get them so covered in glue and stain that I toss them out and order a new one. It takes me about two years to make one look really bad. For under $20 I don't feel so bad throwing them out.

If you have ever considered an apron for the shop, I can highly recommend the Bucket Boss apron.
