This Dolphin Play Art is cut from 3/4" soft maple and the base is tigerwood. The base is 10.25" long and the dolphins stand 5.5" tall.
The dolphins are removable and held in place by their tails. The wood is thick so I used a #5 blade for all the cuts except where the tails meet the water. I kept those cuts until last and switched to a #3 blade. The thinner blade gave a better fit for the tails.
I lightly rounded over the edges and used a spray acrylic finish.
