This is a large workshop sign to hang on your wall. Each plaque is ten inches wide. I am showing the backer boards painted green. The backer boards are optional. You can cut these signed from any thickness of wood you like. but Baltic birch plywood will be stronger.

The individual signs can be strung together with eyelet screws.

Hobbies and Stress:

I think we can all agree that 2020 has been a strange year. It feels like every day, the news is reporting something worse than the day before. All these chaotic events can lead to increased stress, anxiety, and depression. I'm no doctor but I know one medicine that makes me feel better. My hobbies take me away from the world for at least a short time. They make me feel better. That's pretty good medicine and there is no co-pay.

It is hard to feel bad when you are doing something you love to do. When I am working on a project, most of my attention is pointed at the work at hand. The world events have just vanished for that. time. When I am in my shop I listen to music or one of my podcasts but the news is banned from my happy place.

I will have to admit that I am a worrier. I used to think that if I could just retire from my career the stress would melt away in retirement. It didn't. I just started stressing about new things that I could not do anything about.

If you suffer from anxiety, stress, or depression you should seek medical treatment but it never hurts to spend a little time enjoying a hobby as well. You can also use it as an excuse to buy a new tool. It's cheaper than therapy.
