Military Christmas Ornament Scroll Saw Patterns.

Here are two sets of military Christmas ornaments. I kept these designs pretty basic. I wanted the military branch to be the point of interest. If you have loved ones stationed away this Christmas you can hang one of these on the tree for them. Better yet send them one for their tree.

I love getting emails!

One of the best things about writing this blog is having the opportunity to speak with you guys. I hear from scrollers all over the world on a daily basis. You guys and gals send me pictures of projects, helpful tips, pattern ideas, and more. You ask questions that make me think.

Here is a map of where you guys come from. Come on Greenland. There has to be at least a few Greenlanders using a scroll saw.

Now for the bad news. I get hopelessly behind trying to keep up with email. I know that it can be frustrating when I don't respond. From now until after Christmas, I will be pretty busy. The truth is that I will not answer all the emails. I wish I could but there would be no time left to design patterns.

I do my best to triage the email based on questions about orders, new scroller questions, and to be honest, email that is less than a few sentences. If it is several paragraphs I tend to close it and try to come back to it later.

I appreciate your understanding and patience.

Personalized Christmas Ornament Patterns are ready to order:

I am ready to start taking Personalized Christmas Ornament Pattern orders.

I can do first or last names but remember that more than ten letters will be more difficult to cut.

The order form will take up to 20 names for people and 5 names for pets. If you need more than 20/5 then start a second order.

You will not pay until you have the patterns and are 100% happy with them. There will be an invoice sent with the patterns to your email. You will have the option to pay securely with a credit card or send a check to the included address.

I am shooting for a three-day turnaround but that may be difficult for a few days until I get all the kinks worked out. I'll do my best. You can set a bookmark for each of the order forms but I will post them almost every day until Christmas.

$1 per/name with a 5 name minimum.

$2 per/name no minimum.

$12 per sheet of 12 coins plus $3.50 shipping
Inlay with a 1" Forstner Bit.
The perfect way to sign your work.

DEWALT Benchtop Planer, Single Speed, 15-Amp, 12-1/2-Inch (DW734)

Scroll saw users often require thin stock. You can buy scroll saw ready boards online but it's not cheap. If you go through a lot of lumber it might be worth your while to invest in the tools that allow you to mill it to any thickness. The big three are the table saw, band saw, and planer.

This DeWalt planer is a good medium duty planer that is easy to store away if you don't have much room.

Benchtop Planer
  • Three-knife cutter head with 10,000 rpm cutter-head speed provides 96 cuts per inch, one of the finest finishes of any portable planer
  • Disposable, reversible knives deliver 30% more knife life and make knife change fast and easy.
  • Four-column carriage lock drastically reduces the movement that causes snipe
  • Extra-long infeed and outfeed tables provide 33-1/2" of material support.
  • Powerful 15 amp, 20,000 rpm motor handles larger, deeper cuts in hardwoods.
  • Material removal gauge and extra-large thickness scale deliver accurate cuts with every pass
  • Turret depth stop allows user to return to their most frequently used depths with ease
