This pattern is cut from 1/4" thick Baltic birch plywood. I used a clip in craft light like the one pictured below. These are super easy to use. They just clip into a 1" diameter hole.

I have had emails lately asking about slipping scroll saw blades. This question comes around every year as new scrollers buy new scroll saws. It is an important subject because you can make the problem worse unless you know what to do.
This is a video I did back in 2018 about slipping scroll saw blades. The video applies mostly to the saws listed in the title above. There are some definite do's and don'ts with this problem. The biggest don't is to over tighten the thumbscrew. Most people do overtighten the thumbscrew when the blade starts slipping. That will just make the problem worse. The problem can be resolved most of the time with these renewal kits. They are inexpensive so it's nice to have a set or two on hand.
The renewal kits may not fix the problem if you have overtightened the thumbscrew many times. In that case, you may need to replace the upper and lower clamp assembly. It's not that expensive either but it's best to just not bend it. Watch the video for more details.
