Large Potpourri Box Scroll Saw Pattern.

This large Potpourri box is seven inches in diameter. It is cut from 1/4" and 1/8" Baltic birch plywood. If you like the smell of potpourri then this box is large enough to hold a good amount. The slots between the slats are large enough to keep the potpourri in but let the odor out.

I taped off the lid and spray painted the top surface red to add some color and contrast. As I look at it I think I should have used green paint but I guess it's okay.

You will greatly speed up this project by stack cutting. There are 17 slats that are cut from 1/8" BB ply so those are definitely candidates for stack cutting. You could also stack cut the top ring and the bottom including the holes for the slats. Before you cut the inner part of the top ring, remove the bottom.

Another tip is to use the inner cutout of the top ring for the lid keeper. You just have to be careful where you drill your entry hold and make it as small of a hole as possible.

INFORMATION: I also included a pattern for wider stats. These slats will reduce the gaps and make it a box for holding other items.

Parts needed to be cut. Use stack cutting whenever possible.

Personalized Christmas Ornament Patterns are ready to order:

I am ready to start taking Personalized Christmas Ornament Pattern orders.

I can do first or last names but remember that more than ten letters will be more difficult to cut.

The order form will take up to 20 names for people and 5 names for pets. If you need more than 20/5 then start a second order.

You will not pay until you have the patterns and are 100% happy with them. There will be an invoice sent with the patterns to your email. You will have the option to pay securely with a credit card or send a check to the included address.

I am shooting for a three-day turnaround but that may be difficult for a few days until I get all the kinks worked out. I'll do my best. You can set a bookmark for each of the order forms but I will post them almost every day until Christmas.

$1 per/name with a 5 name minimum.

$2 per/name no minimum.

I own this  WEN air filtration system. It works well for a small two-car garage shop. If you get much larger then consider buying the larger unit of two of the small unit.

  • Circulate the air in a 400 square foot room up to 7.5 times per hour
  • Three-speed operation flows air at a rate of 300, 350, or 400 cubic feet per minute
  • Includes a 1-micron filter and a 5-micron pre-filter, both of which can be easily replaced
  • Programmable timer automatically shuts unit off after set number of minutes
  • Remote control allows users to set timer, change speed and power the unit on and off from up to 26 feet away
