Three Layer Church Christmas Ornament Scroll Saw Pattern.

This pattern is not easy to cut accurately. A few of the interior cust are very small. The ornament is cut from 1/8" thick Baltic birch plywood. Wood that thick is more difficult to cut. When you combine both of these factors it adds some challenge.

I used a #1 scroll reverse blade. When you come to a turn such as around the brim of the hat or the branches of the tree, you can skip the turn. Just cut around the outside of the tree then go back and add the short angled cuts.

1. Cut around the side of the tree
2. Go back and cut into the tree branches from both angles to cut out the sharp turns.

All of the parts.

Glue the spacers between the layers.

My current scroll saw stool.

Buy at Bear Woods.

Disclaimer: I did not purchase this stool. It was provided to me by Bear Woods. The link is an affiliate link. This is not a paid advertisement. What I write are my own words. No one asked me to write a positive review. Most of my sponsors have figured out how stubborn I am so they don't even ask. :)

I have gone through many stools over the course of my years sitting in front of scroll saws. I am always looking for the perfect stool. It needs to be comfortable. I want wheels. I want it to be adjustable. I want a backrest. The biggest need is quality. I am not a small guy. I kill cheap stools.

Last year I was at a show in Ohio with Bear Woods. After the show, they gave me a few nice products to evaluate. One of the products was their new stool. I had been looking for a high-quality stool that had wheels. I had not had any luck finding one that I liked. I eagerly took this one home and gave it a try.

A year later I am still using this stool and could not be happier. There are some things to consider.

These stools are not cheap. I have become used to buying high-quality furniture because of my size. This kind of quality is more expensive upfront. I more than make up for that expense because the life is so much greater.

Wheels are positive and negative. I love to be able to easily move around the front of the saw. I often change angles and the wheels allow me to move without standing to shift the stool. There is a negative to wheels. When you sit down you have to pay attention that the stools do not roll backward as you sit.
I have allowed this to happen twice and busted my rear. That is all it took for me to be more careful.

The seat is not large. When I first saw the seat I was not sure I would be comfortable. That has not been a problem for me. The padding is very good. I can sit in it for hours with no pain. No pain except the normal old man pain I have all day anyway.

I cannot tell you that you will find this stool comfortable because everyone is so different. For me, it is the best stool I have owned. I am in my shop seven days a week. I have owned stools that put my back in spasms in a short period of time. I don't have that problem with this stool. I can't tell you for sure that the stool has prevented my pain but I believe it has at the vest least helped. It's not like I am getting younger or exercising more. :)

If you have issues sitting for extended periods of time then this is one solution that may help. I can tell you that the quality is very good.

Personalized Christmas Ornament Patterns are ready to order:

I am ready to start taking Personalized Christmas Ornament Pattern orders.

I can do first or last names but remember that more than ten letters will be more difficult to cut.

The order form will take up to 20 names for people and 5 names for pets. If you need more than 20/5 then start a second order.

You will not pay until you have the patterns and are 100% happy with them. There will be an invoice sent with the patterns to your email. You will have the option to pay securely with a credit card or send a check to the included address.

I am shooting for a three-day turnaround but that may be difficult for a few days until I get all the kinks worked out. I'll do my best. You can set a bookmark for each of the order forms but I will post them almost every day until Christmas.
