My original plan was to paint the chair but I ran out of time to get the pattern posted. I was going to paint it white but my wife wants pink, so it will be pink. I used 1/4" Baltic birch plywood. It would also look nice in a hardwood.

Paul Michaud Video of his new Seyco ST-21 Scroll Saw:

Paul got a new Seyco ST-21 scroll saw. He was kind enough to share his assembly and thoughts in a video. Paul is very organized and presents his thoughts well. The audio is excellent and the video is lit well.

I wanted to share this video because Paul does a great job of pointing out the areas where he had to give some thought to the assembly. You will definitely do yourself a favor if you watch this before you assemble this saw. Thanks, Paul for taking the time to share this good information.

I want you to pay attention to one particular part of the video. The 8:00 mark is where Paul first turns on the saw. I want you to notice just how smooth this saw runs.

If you are not familiar with the Seyco ST-21 you should check it out. I have owned one for a couple of years and it is a fantastic saw. Ray Seymore, the owner of Seyco, is one of the most knowledgeable people in our community. He put 35 plus years of experience into the design of the Seyco ST-21. Many of the features were requests he had heard from customers over the years.

I just checked out the Seyco site and it looks like they have a Christmas special happening. This is not a paid ad so I don't know the details of the special but it may be worth checking out if you are looking for a new saw. This saw is a keeper.
