If the eagle is in the nest this is fascinating to watch.
Large birds need large nests! Bald eagle nests are about 5 to 6 feet in diameter and 2 to 4 feet tall. If the tree is strong enough, they will use the same nest again and again, adding new materials each year, so some nests can be enormous.
During the 1970s, bald eagles were seriously endangered. They’ve since made a remarkable comeback and in 2007, were removed from the Federal Endangered Species list.
The bald eagle has been the national emblem of the United States since 1782. It was chosen for its majestic appearance and representation of freedom and strength.
When it comes to sight, eagles have two centers of focus. This gives them the ability to see forward and to the side simultaneously.
On average, male bald eagles weigh 25 percent less than females.
While on the hunt for prey, eagles can dive up to 100 miles per hour. But in regular flight, they can travel about 30 miles per hour.

More Basic Scroll Saw Information:
Scroll saw blade tensioning is something that needs to be learned by experience. You will often hear seasoned scrollers tell you to pluck the blade to check the tension. That is a proper way to do a quick tension test but what are you looking or listening for? You may be told to listen for a C note. How many of you can recognize a C note when you hear one? I can't.
It is possible to over tension the scroll saw blade but it is much more common to under tension it. When a scroll saw blade does not have enough tension it will not be easy to follow the pattern line. The cut will drift in irregular directions sometimes trying to follow the grain of the wood. A dull blade will also have trouble turning sharp corners.
You may also notice that the scroll saw sounds different if you do not get enough tension on the blade. You will especially notice this sound difference when the blade slightly slips while cutting. The instant tension change when the blade slips is very notable if you are paying attention. Intensionally under tension the blade and run the saw. Listen. Now add more tension and you will hear the difference.
Both of these symptoms take some time to get the feel for. Play with the tension and observe the cut and sound until you get the feel. As a general rule add a little more tension that you think feels correct.
If the blade is slipping out of the clamps it is often perceived that you over tensioned the blade. That is usually not the case. More likely the clamps are starting to wear out. Most mid and high-quality
scroll saws have replaceable clamps screws. They need to be kept in good shape. I replace mine about every three to six months. One thing to avoid at all costs is to try to tighten the clamp screws more to prevent slipping. If you over tighten the clamp screws you will eventually ruin the clamp head. A little more than finger tight is normally all that is needed for a well-tuned saw.
Breaking the blade early can be caused by both under and over tensioning the blade. Again most of the time neither will be the actual cause. Frequently breaking blades is often a sign of other problems. Most often the blade is just too worn out to use. It is common for people to use a blade past the point where it is usable. I replace the blade as soon as I feel it starting to get dull.
